Hi,
I have created a dyanmic web project (only one jsp) using J2EE 1.4. I c
reated a Websphere Server 6 instance and tried to deploy it. The log messag
e says the server is open for business although the status against that serv
er instance in the server pane still has "starting" message.
I am wondering what to do in this scenario. Any inputs on how to determine
the solve this issue is highly appreciated.

Thanks

Partha

Siva,
Thanks for the reply. Even though I left the screen for more than 1 hour
, it did not show me the message "started". I used the well known fix...
    Uninstall and install RAD 6.0.

It worked. However after installing Portal 5.1 and Websphere Application S
erver 5.1, I am encountering a different error.

Thanks

Partha

The error is with the server configuration SOAP ports not matching. When
you create a WAS v6 profile, there is a screen with many port numbers. If
you already have one profile defined, the ports will increment to the next
available number. Look for the SOAP connector port. It defaults to 8880.
So, your second profile will be 8881; the third profile will be 8882; etc.
Then, when you add a new server to RAD v6, the SOAP port still defaults to
8880. Update this port in the new server wizard to match the port used in
the profile.
