We just upgraded our Ultra-Enterprise server from Solaris 8 to Solaris
9. Currently we are running Veritas 3.5 MP1 After the upgrade, we tried
to install MP2 patches for Veritas 3.5, all of the patch installations
had failed with message :
ld.so.1: pkgadd: fatal: libwanboot.so.1: open failed: No such file or
directory
ld.so.1: pkgadd: fatal: relocation error: file pkgadd: symbol
url_parse_hostport: referenced symbol not found
We attempted to remove and reinstall the VRTSvxfs package but we got
the same error messages, WHY ??

We need help in locating "libwanboot.so.1" library and the SUNWwbsup
package. The SUNOS patch 113713-11 has been installed successfully.
According to the "special install instruction" at the end in the
README file of 113713-11, we need to get SUNWwbsup from the latest OS CD.
I downloaded the latest Solaris 9 (12/03) - U5 release 1of2, 2of2 CDs
from SUN site but I didn't see the SUNWwbsup anywhere in that release.
I am quite puzzled by this. Both SUN and Veritas have not a clue
why all this is happening. Anyone out there can shed some lights
on this ?? I just need to find out how to get this library and/or
the package.
I appreciate it very much for your comments.
Bill
