Is it possible to get Redhat 8 to work on a machine with the Intel 875
chipset? The install does not detect the onboard sound or gigabit ethernet
properly and I have been unable to get them working.

Thanks

ROB

You should try downloading and installing the latest errata packages for Red Hat Linux 8, you can do this with any system using any OS, first. https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/rh8-errata.html ftp://updates.redhat.com/8.0/en/os If that does not resolve your hardware issues then you need to install your own custom kernel from source; http://www.kernel.org/ Select the latest stable 2.4.22 kernel and apply at least the 2.4.23pre5 patch. And do some reading before you start; http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Kernel-HOWTO/ http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/...br /> nel.html -- SCO + RICO Act = Justice Hi! I'm a .sig virus!
