I recently installed rh9 on my computer, I have a dual boot along with
winMe. I have been able to configure all the other hardware, but I have
tried unsucessfully to use my usb dsl modem to ceonnect to the web.
I have downloaded the driver and followed the included HowTo, I also used
another tutorial I found on the web.
As far as I can tell the driver and ppp are all set correctly, along with
all the passwords.
Anybody get this done sucessfully? Or does anybody know a real newbie
tutorial for this?

Thanks

Maybe I'm outta line, knowing you have USB, but: I have a ST510 ethernet modem and let my modem do all the connection and log-in work and NAT. The nice thing is, that you are always connected, even after a power outage the modem comes up by itself. That way, the setup of my computers is much easier: a linux server with a 10.0.0.150 eth0 card and a 192.168.0.1 eth1 card Windows on the internal net is very easy to set up. All machines on the internal net have 192.168.0.x. I hope the USB version is not much different... fr gr Erik
