    Testing XML to EDI Maps

Hi,
I am trying to test a map to one of the X12 EDI schemas supported by
BTS2004. I have a native instance document that I KNOW to be valid that
validates perfectly against the X12 xsd. When I test my map, I can produce
an output.xml that I can then use as the test instance for the destination
xsd (X12), and also validate perfectly. When I validate the map with Output
= XML and Validate Output = True, validates perfectly. However, when I try
to validate the map, with TestMap Output = Native and Validate TestMap
Output = True, I get the following error....

Output validation error: Validate Instance : file: [] error 15

My question -- Is this as good as it gets with the BTS2004 mapper? Is this
the end point I should be looking for when testing an XML - EDI map? I
remember the sheer exhiliration of seeing my native EDI document in the
output pane of BTS2002 mapper... is this something that is attainable with
BTS2004?

John

Hi John,

If possible, you may provide me with the schema and mapping file to
have a test. There have been a batch of Biztalk 2004 EDI related
hotfixes, the series should be included in upcoming server pack 1.
Currently I think at least you'd insure the build in hand has been
applied with rollup + Q840113.

FIX: The BizTalk Server EDI Adapter only supports a limited set of
document types

Thanks.

Hello,
I actually am using BTS2004 with SP1. I would be happy to send a zip file
to you. Where should I send it?

Hi John,

Please send to: v-wzhang@online.microsoft.com (remove online.)
I'll help on reviewing it and provide some ideas as possible but
cannot guarantee the reviewing will turn up the root cause or give a
solid solution. So if the issue is quite critical to you, I'll
recommend you contact our advisory services.

Thanks.

Hello John,

Wenjun doesn't feel well today and is taking sick leave. However, based on
his log on this issue, it seems that he hasn't received your email yet.
Could you please send it again and attach the file as zip format? Please
reach him at v-wzhang@online.microsoft.com. (remove online)

Please also limit the attachment to be smaller than 5MB. Or it will be
blocked by our email server.

Thanks very much.

Best regards,
Yanhong Huang
