Hello everyone,

does anyone know if it is possible to roll out wireless client-settings with
WPA-encryption via GPO? I know I can set WEP at the domain controller, but
WPA does not appear. Is there a hotfix or another method available to do
this?

Thanks in advance
Rainer Sinsch

I know MS is including it in 2003 SP1.
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;en-us;811233 Here is the
link to try and request the hotfix. It is not posted publicly

Cheers,

Is there a GPO to roll out 802.1x settings to *wired* clients?
Or can I use some type of script?

If not, it should be impossible to adopt 802.1x in an enterprise
environment.

There is not

Scripts are also not available, because the configuration is bound to the
GUID for the network adapter and not to a simple registry key.

This is a problem, indeed.

Check out KB811233, this patch is a freeby from Micorosoft
and updates 2003 server to allow GP's specifying
WPA/802.1x authentication profiles.

Works well, but obviously they have to obtain th GP via a
wired connection first.......
