I've recently aquired some Hitachi parts that I think are from a
TagmaStore (9990) system.
Part numbers follow:
SH288-B memory dimms
SH341 memory dimms
SH342 memory dimms
WP552 cache carrier board
WP490 cache carrier board
WP541 ???????
WP520 Array control processor

Can anyone confirm that these are TagmaStore parts?
Thanks,
Tim

To recently acquire TagmaStore "parts" would be interesting since the
whole product is brand-spanking-new. It's possible of course but
getting these parts without an actual Tag is a little suspect.

Interesting...Yes.
Suspect...Yes, but I have 5+ years working maintenance and upgrades on
Hitachi systems. I know these parts are not for the 9980V, 9970, 9960
or 7700E systems. Also not for 9200 or 9500 rackmount systems.
I also received with the cards some 146gb drives, so I know this is for
current equipment.

Yes, they are for TagmaStore. Where did you steal them from?

Thanks for the confirmation Scott!
I had a customer ship these to me for testing thinking it was parts for
a 9980V system. I guess it will be awhile before I can get them
tested...I won't see any off-lease Tagmastore systems for a year or so.

Scott,
Can you give me any details on the dimms? Size and shared / cache info
would be helpful.
Also, is there any market for this yet as upgrade parts?
Thanks,
Tim
