This is the best group I could find at which to post this problem. I spoke
with someone at Microsoft Customer Support (an Indian with a phony English
accent whom I couldn't understand in the least and who couldn't understand
me). Anyway, he suggested I go here a post my problem and that someone from
Microsoft would respond so here goes. I am having a problem with the MS
website. I am trying to enter my email address at the Profile Center for th
e
.net passport. When I enter my email and press the Update button, it tells
me that an email has been sent to the address for verification purposes.
Well, no email is ever sent to me AND I have no restrictions on my received
email. Now it's at the point where it states the "Pending Limit [is]
Exceeded". Why won't it send a verification email to my address? Thank you
.

.NET Passport and the MSN/Hotmail servers having been suffering from
indeterminate problems for several days now, Greg. All we can do is wait it
out.

Thanks for replying. I have had this problem though since December. I've
been going back and forth with Blessey, Anurag Yadav, and Shokhongam at
support@microsoft.com and someone who's name I couldn't even pronounce with
MS Customer Support on the phone since then. None of them can even
understand my issue even when I spell it out for them and include screen
shots. Hopefully this issue has been going on since December and not just
the past couple of days. Is there anyone from Microsoft out there (who
speaks and understands) English?

All I can suggest is:

-Try deleting all passport cookies and rebooting

-IE Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>Sites (or Custom)> type in

passport.net

and Allow All Cookies.

-Place passport.net in Trusted Sites zone

-Try logging in to Passport using a different Windows Profile

-Disable any/all third-party apps running in background which might be
interfering (pop-up blockers, anti-virus, firewall; careful!)

-Check for hijackware:

I love it how no one listens to the posts of the information provided.

I have had a similar problem, and for several months, not a question of a fe
w days.

When i try to verify my email address for .net passport, the passport site s
ays it will send me an email, and the email never gets to me. we dont have
spam software kicking out the emails, so this is not the problem.

the problem has to be with microsoft.
