Hi ,

I'm new to Legato Networker and am trying to get a backup of a SQL
server cluster to work on W2K. Have put the -a <virtual server> option
in the job an dthe user I'm connecting with is in al lthe relevent
groups. Agent is installed on the cluster. But all I get is the
following error

* tranzaxdev.uk.sunlife:MSSQL: Internal system error, please see
nsr\applogs\xbsa.messages on the client system for reason.
* tranzaxdev.uk.sunlife:MSSQL:
 E:\LNMs_2003\nsr\db_apps\bsmsql\nsrsqlad
o.cpp(2074): ExecuteFailed
event arrived.
* tranzaxdev.uk.sunlife:MSSQL: Microsoft SQL Server Provider error:
* tranzaxdev.uk.sunlife:MSSQL: bsVdiAbort: handle is bad
* tranzaxdev.uk.sunlife:MSSQL:  [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]&
#91;SQL
Server]Write on 'Legato#2cf7fbc7-779c-4bca-961a-c1998751d016' failed,
status = 995. See the SQL Server error log for more details..
* tranzaxdev.uk.sunlife:MSSQL:  [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]&
#91;SQL
Server]BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally..
* tranzaxdev.uk.sunlife:MSSQL: Processing master failed, the item will
be skipped.

Can anyone shed any light on this??

FYI - got it sorted. It was an access list problem. Had "@" in there,
thought that would cover it , butthen tried specifically putting in the
address of each side of the cluster and it worked!!
