I am not new to web publishing but I am new to using Front Page Extensions
so this may sound like a dumb question to some of you.

Every time I make a change on my web site I seem to loose my Front Page
Extensions. I go back to my WPP's site and re-install them and everything is
fine. Is this normal?

Also, is there any way to set Front Page up so that every time I publish my
web I don't have to enter my user name and password? I haven't used Front
Page for several years but I don't remember having to re-enter the
information every time I re-published my site.

What web server are the extensions installed on? Apache? IIS? Also, what
versions are you using for FP client and Server extensions? There are severa
l
possiblities. Try to narrow it down a bit.

If UNIX/Apache, do you have any directories setup with specific admin
permissions (i.e. no anonymous access)? This could account for the repeated
password prompts.

Also, what do you mean by "loose my Front Page extensions"? What happens
exactly?

Thanks for your reply. I found (or think I have) my trouble with having to
re-install Front Page extensions. I was uploading using ftp. I now upload
using http and have not had trouble since. Again, thanks for your response.

I do have another question though. I own several domain names. Can I use the
same IP address for more than one domain name at the same time? I recently
read something that led me to believe it is possible.

You need to address the use of one IP address and several domain names in
the appropriate server newsgroup to find out about using host headers, as
this is not a FP extensions issue.
