I have a web site that uses host headers that works fine in IIS5 but doesn't
work in IIS6. The web app uses .net and runs a query on the ADS (2000 ADS
domain). IIS6 is installed on win 2003 member servers in an application
cluster. I receive no errors (Just a list of ADS lookups returns no entries)
however, when I trace the packets I show the following...
Source Destination Protocol Info
Wks DNS Server KRB5 TGS-REQ
DNS Server Wks KRB5 KRB Error: KRB5_ERR_S_PRINCIPAL_UNKNOW
N

Where Wks is a workstation running IE
DNS server is the primary DNS server for the domain.

I am unsure why I need a service principal name set if that is what the
error means, and I am unsure of where to set it. I have 3 nodes in the
application cluster running IIS6 but the error shows an error between the DN
S
server and the workstation running IE?
I have tried regestering the hostheader name as HTTP\Hostheadername in
several spots but still get the same error. Any Ideas on what might cause
this/how to correct it?
