Hello all. I am looking to guage what is the usage level of the Auction
component in Commerce Server 2002. I am looking for infomation to see how
many people are using it and in what ways you are using it. If you could
post a reply to this thread stating how you are using it that would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Charles

Hi Charles,

I had toyed with the idea of using the auction component to implement a
"Reverse Auction" for a tendering/bid submission type of site but never went
past the "board" stage.

IMHO - having an auction functionality would benifit from the existing
Catalog and User Profile Management... probably pipeline components (or
whatever they are now in the new version) to enable assesment evaluation of
bids would be a great enhancement. In a convluted sense you do similar
evaluation for the CSO framework .

Regards.
