The import function only imports what is seen by a browser, so shared
borders, include files, navigation structure, themes, asp pages, databases,
etc. are not imported.
If you use FTP, it is only for a site that does *not* use FP server
extensions or any of the components that are required to use extensions.

|I publish to server without FP extensions because it is cheap for local
| non-profit websites. What do I lose? I must keep a current copy of my web
on
| my machine as a backup (which is a good idea anyway!). I cannot publish
| (really ftp) back to my machine. I can upload but not download. If I do
| import, I lose navigation structure,etc.
|
| Don't know if could use separate FTP program to download?
