We need advice on installing and configuring index server
running on a W2K Cluster server.

Currently, the W2K cluster server already installed with
MS SQL Server. We need to install the index server and
link to SQL server, so that we could query the index
server.

We appreciate if you could provide us detail steps of
installing and configuring the index server.

Thanks,
Y-J, Chong

Thanks for your reply.

If that is the case, is there any way to access index
server from a separate SQL server (running on a cluster)
using Linked server throught "Microsoft OLE DB Provider
for Indexing Service".

As we have setup a cluster server running MS SQL server,
and we currently need to add searching capabilities on a
folder in another web server, which is already installed
with index server. Since index server cannot run on a
cluster, we need to find a way to resolve this.

Thanks,
Y-J, Chong
